I’ve nowhere to hide

From the evil contagion

That spews + spread

From the tenebrous mind +

Out of the mouth

Of a fool

A vector

Infecting the air

With waves of hope

Ignorance + lies

Drowning the ears +

The eyes

Of the willing

And unsuspecting victims

With billowing black derecos

Filled with poisonous

Words, thoughts + beliefs

That bring sorrow, death + cruelty

To the innocent +

The believers

Billowing black derecos

Engulf the land

Engaging emotions

Filling the lungs of some

With venom

But no regrets

In their hearts + souls

For the mistakes + wrongs

Of yesterdays

We’ve no need to hide

From the evil contagion

That spews and spreads

From the tenebrous mind +

Out of the mouth

Of a fool

Because we have

The strength +

Light of truth +

The power of love

For everyone

That will

Protect us +

Make us immune

To the evil

Of lies

From the mouth
